At VRweld, we believe that education is a necessity, and therefore should be accessible by all. Utilizing virtual reality gave us the platform we needed to ensure students can safely learn wherever they go, without the need for expensive equipment and material. Our curriculum seeks to provide students with the training and skills they need to succeed, not only as a welder, but as a professional technician. Knowledge, however, is only one part of the equation. We want to motivate students to be engaged in their coursework. By exploring gamification tactics, we seek to make learning fun by immersing students in a game-like setting. Our hope is, through our application, young students will be inspired to look into fields of skilled labor and STEM education.
